NCAN is the private sector representative, and the umbrella body charged with regulating the Nigerian Cashew Industry for the benefit of all stakeholders be it Cashew Farmers, Traders, Processors, Exporters and Service Providers. Cashew is national crop and is grown in 22 states namely Abia, Anambra, Akwa Ibom, Benue, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, Imo, Kogi, Niger, Nassarawa, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Taraba, Kwara, Katsina and the FCT. However, cashew can be grown in almost all the states of Nigeria.
We had spent a lot of time to study the cashew industry, gathered information and finally we come up with the best solutions and policies that ensures that Nigeria successfully utilize the cashew fruit fully with zero waste, optimizing new agricultural methods along every way in the harvesting and processing of the cashew fruit.
